Who We Are?

The Rave Ons are:

Dave Hesse,

a.k.a. Screamin' Marv Morehead, a.k.a. Mr.Pipes: Lead Vocals, Guitar, Bass, and Harmonica, Front Man

Dave's rich and creative vocal renditions are the natural focal point of the Rave-On's sound, and it's no wonder that one of his former managers insisted on calling him "Mr. Pipes",

Dave's instrumental abilities really started to blossom when his family moved to England in 1959.

He took up the guitar, at the urging of a couple of his new English chums, all the pieces fell together and the guitar has been his primary instrument ever since. Oh, those two English friends, you may have heard of them, because they became very famous during the sixties. Their names are Dave Clark and Mick Fleetwood.

Dave was in many bands including the origional Rave Ons, Citations,  Lucy & The Sizzlers,  Daybreak, G Spots, & Golden Ear Ring.

Terry Ahlstrom,

Drummer, Lead Vocals, & Mother Hen for the Band

The youngster in the Rave-Ons, is another Richfield grad. After playing in various high school groups Terry officially joined the Twin Cities rock & roll band "Teen King and the Princes" during the mid-70s until the mid-80s.

Throughout his career, Terry's had the opportunity to play with Del Shannon, Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon, Gary U. S. Bonds, the Coasters and the Drifters. He has also opened shows for Gary Puckett, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Rivers, Melissa Manchester, Mitch Ryder and many others.
